Daoēn Studio is a design practice shaped by two worlds: the intuitive craft of Mexico and the refined minimalism of California. The studio creates warm-futuristic architecture rooted in Taoist ideas of balance, flow, and intentional living.

Roberto Valdez
Also signing in the industry as RWZ, Roberto is the founding principal and design visionary of Daoen Studio. His experience spans two countries and nearly two decades, shaping a body of work defined by instinct, balance, and warm modernism.
Jiawey Zhu
With a background in Fashion Marketing and early experience in real estate, Jiawey brings a curator’s eye for what is both trending and timeless. Her instinct for style, refinement, and market insight allows her to bridge imagination with execution, becoming the link between the what-if and the what-is.
Claudia Marcela
A graduate Interior Designer with years of experience in kitchen design and event planning, Claudia is the anchor of our Mexico operations. She oversees quality assurance and client concierge services, ensuring that every project runs seamlessly and everybody feels supported.
Moises Paredes
A Licensed Architect from Guadalajara and a former youth professional soccer player, Moisés brings discipline, focus, and a results-driven mindset to his role as BIM Manager and Project Coordinator in our Mexico office. He oversees the technical development of our projects, ensuring precision in modeling, coordination, and construction documentation.
